Privacy Policy

1. Data controller

The data controller is the operator of GameVibe, reachable at contact [at] game-vibe [dot] app.

GameVibe is a web service available at game-vibe.app. The current version does not include user accounts or registration that requires personal identification.

2. Nature of the service

GameVibe offers an entertainment questionnaire about gaming preferences (board and video games) and indicative game recommendations. It is not a psychological, psychometric, clinical, or professional assessment of any kind.

Results are for fun and informational purposes only. They should not be used to make medical, employment, educational, or other decisions with significant consequences.

3. Minimum age

The service is intended for people aged 13 and older. If you are under 13, you must not use GameVibe.

If you are a minor under applicable law in your country (for example, under 16 in certain GDPR cases), you must have consent from a parent or legal guardian before using the service.

4. Data we do not collect

In the current version, we do not ask for your name, email address, password, or other registration data to use the quiz.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data (health, political opinions, religious beliefs, etc.). Quiz answers relate only to game preferences in a recreational context.

5. Data stored in your browser

To improve your experience, GameVibe stores quiz progress, theme and language preferences, and your analytics choice in your browser. This data stays on your device and is not automatically sent to our servers.

You can delete this data at any time by clearing site data for this site in your browser settings. Doing so will remove locally saved progress.

6. Current session data

After you complete the quiz, your latest result may be kept temporarily to display the results page while you keep the browser tab open.

This data is removed when you close the tab or browser, unless you share it or voluntarily save it to your local history.

7. Local history (optional)

GameVibe optionally offers a results history stored on your device. This feature is enabled only if you choose to save a result; it does not happen automatically.

History remains on your device. We do not sync or upload it to our servers.

You can view, delete individual entries, or clear the entire history from the history interface or by clearing site data for this site in your browser.

8. Shared links

If you choose to share your result, GameVibe generates a link that shows your archetype and a summary of your gaming profile.

Anyone with access to the link can see that information on social networks, messaging apps, or other channels. GameVibe does not control how third parties use links you have published.

Do not share the link if you do not want others to see your result. The link does not include your name or your quiz answers.

9. Language and locale detection

GameVibe may determine the interface language from the Accept-Language header sent by your browser, prioritizing Spanish, English, Portuguese, or Chinese according to your preferences.

Optionally, and only to suggest a language, we may use approximate geographic information derived from network infrastructure (for example, a country code provided by the hosting or CDN provider), without creating an identifiable personal profile.

You can manually change the language by navigating the site's localized routes (e.g. /es/, /en/).

10. Analytics (Plausible, only after consent)

We use Plausible Analytics, an aggregated analytics service hosted in the European Union, only if you accept cookies/analytics in the consent banner.

Plausible does not use cross-site tracking cookies or advertising identifiers. It collects aggregated metrics such as pages visited, referrer, and device type, without profiling individual users for advertising purposes.

If you reject analytics, we do not load the Plausible script. You can change your mind by clearing site data for this site in your browser and reloading the page; the banner will appear again.

11. Cryptocurrency donations

GameVibe may display public addresses for voluntary cryptocurrency donations. Blockchain transactions are public by nature, but we do not request personal data to donate.

We do not verify who sends funds or link donations to user accounts (none exist in the current version). A wallet address can be pseudonymous; avoid including identifying information in transaction messages if you want greater privacy.

Donations are irreversible. See the corresponding section in the Terms of Use for network risks.

12. Legal basis and rights (GDPR)

When we process personal data (e.g. aggregated analytics after consent, or email inquiries), we rely as applicable on consent, legitimate interest in operating and improving the service, or compliance with legal obligations.

If you reside in the European Economic Area or a territory with equivalent rights, you may exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability (where applicable), and withdraw analytics consent at any time.

You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.

13. Retention, security, and transfers

Data stored in your browser or on your device remains until you delete it. Aggregated metrics in Plausible are retained according to the retention policy configured for that service.

We apply reasonable technical measures to protect the site's infrastructure. However, no system on the Internet is completely secure.

Plausible operates from the EU. If we add processors outside the EEA in the future, we will adopt appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or other recognized measures).

This address is not available for marketing outreach, SEO, collaboration, partnerships, or AI agents. Use it only for privacy, terms, and legal notices.

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the service or applicable law. We will publish the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use after material changes may require renewed consent where required by law.
